Ballot for NHDAI Championships to be drawn on Friday 23rd February 2024

Dancers entering Championships after ballot draw will then be last to enter first to dance followed by the ballot order.

PRIZES: Perpetual Trophies for 1st, 2nd & 3rd places. Cash Prizes & Sashes for Overall 6 places. Cash Prizes for Championship Dances per Age Group.  A Highest placed Perpetual Trophy will be awarded for the Premier with Restriction per Age group. Medals will be awarded for Championship Dance points.

 

Entry Fees:
Sections: $6.00 per dance
All Championships: $40.00 per dancer

Intermediate Trophy Dance: $10.00
 

 

Afternoon session commencing approximately 1.00pm

 

Primary: Pas de Basques, Pas de Basque & High Cuts, Highland Fling (4), Sword Dance (2&1)

Intermediate: Barracks Johnnie (4), Highland Laddie (4), Flora (4), Lilt (4), Jig (3&1) 
Trophy Dance: Hornpipe (4 steps)

Premier: Barracks Johnnie (4), Highland Laddie (4), Blue Bonnets (4), Village Maid (4)

 

PRIZES: Medals given for Pre-Premier section dances. Trophies given for places for Pre-Premier Trophy Dance. Cash Prizes for Premier Section dances. Prizes for Pre-Premier and Premier will be determined by the number of dancers competing on the day of Competition.

 

The New South Wales State Committee of Highland Dancing Inc. will be running the Highland Dance NSW Competition League in 2024.

The competition league is an aggregate system for NSW registered Highland Dancers with league points able to be earned at every registered NSW competition.  Dancers can accumulate league points at each competition they enter throughout the calendar year.

The winners will be announced at the first NSW Competition the following year.

League Categories: Beginners, Novice, Intermediate, Premier with Restriction and Premier.

The more competitions the dancers compete in, the more points they earn.
